2015 Schedule of Events

Shop, Dine, Save and Be Merry as you stroll downtown Greenwich with family and friends to celebrate the 7th Annual Greenwich Holiday Stroll Weekend, December 5th and 6th.

Enjoy fun festivities for the whole family both Saturday and Sunday throughout downtown Greenwich. Please check the map for exact locations. Visit LIVE reindeer and get your photo with Santa at McArdles! Over 100 participating merchants offering holiday promotions and refreshments. Live Nativity featuring nine animals and Greenwich area churches, two different horse drawn carriage rides, horse petting station at Wine Wise, live music entertainment tent featuring outstanding singing performances, professional ice sculpture demos, The Food Truck Village in the Board of Education parking lot on Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich Arts Council holiday art workshops, letter writing to Santa and much more. Parking on Greenwich Avenue will be sponsored by Greenwich Town Party.

$5 of every photo package with Santa will be donated to Kids in Crisis during the 7th Annual Greenwich Holiday Stroll Weekend. McArdle's will also donate $5 of every wreath sold December 5th and 6th to Kids in Crisis. McArdle’s will also be selling special Kids in Crisis Belgian Chocolates sourced from sustainable cocoa. The chocolates will feature unique Kids in Crisis images and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the organization.

LIVE NATIVITY

Located at 59 East Putnam Avenue, this dramatic representation of the birth of Christ will feature a camel, donkey, llama, cow and five sheep. Greenwich area churches will dramatically act out the story of Christ’s birth throughout the four hours each day.

Candlelight Open House at Putnam Cottage

The Putnam Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is sponsoring a Candlelight Open House at Putnam Cottage on December 6, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM. There will be Revolutionary soldiers, colonial music, children's crafts, holiday snacks and tours of the Cottage with costumed docents. Putnam Cottage is located at 243 East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich. For this event parking is available next door at the Junior League of Greenwich, YWCA, and across the street at Christ Church. There is also parking behind the cottage at First Church of Christ Scientist, 11 Park Place, there is a gate leading to the cottage.
